GameplayThe 3 Card Poker uses a standard deck of 52 cards.

To receive cards, each player must place an initial bet "BET" and/or a "PAIR PLUS" bet on the appropriate area. Once the bets are placed, the dealer deals three face-down cards to each player and to themselves (the shuffle and deal may differ if an electronic "shoe" card dealer is used).

Once the dealing is complete, each player has a choice of two actions: to fold (which means forfeiting their cards and losing their bets), or to raise (which means to bet).

To bet, the player must place the same amount on the "PLAY" area as their initial bet.

The dealer must have a Queen high to qualify. If not, the dealer will pay the initial bets and the winning "PAIR PLUS" bets but will not pay the raises. If the dealer has a Queen high or better, they qualify, compare their hand, and pay the initial bets and bonuses, the raises and the winning "PAIR PLUS" bets.

Pair Plus

The "PAIR PLUS" bet is a separate and winning bet every time the player receives a hand that has at least one pair. The "PAIR PLUS" bet is paid out regardless of the dealer's hand.

Bonus on the initial bet

There is a bonus on the initial bet, which gives a bonus only for three hands obtained by the player: a Straight (paid 1 time on the initial bet), a Three of a Kind (paid 4 times on the initial bet) and a Straight Flush (paid 5 times on the initial bet). Bonuses on initial bets are always paid, whether the dealer qualifies or not, and regardless of the dealer's outcome.

Note that when the dealer does not qualify, the player who believes they have a winning combination, on the BET, the BONUS, and/or the PAIR PLUS, announces it aloud and only their cards are turned over for verification by the dealer.

Hand rankings

In 3 Card Poker, the ranking of hands is slightly different from traditional Poker variants, as with three cards, a flush is easier to obtain than a straight. Therefore, in 3 Card Poker, a Straight beats a Flush and the ranking of the cards is as follows: Ace (highest card), King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2. The strongest hand consists of an Ace, a King, and a Queen of the same suit, sometimes referred to as a Royal Flush. If the player and dealer have the same hand, no chips are lost or gained.
